The latex-free elastic nonwoven technology is a process to create unique elasticity from regular thermally bonded nonwoven fabrics and greatly expands their applications. There is no parallel technology and no similar product. The basic nonwoven producers have been severely struggling from the competition of new production lines selling to limited customers. The latex-free elastic nonwoven technology is well recognized by the Nonwovens Industry to be the only way to revitalize the dated nonwoven lines, and it is highly praised by spunbond nonwoven producers.
The elastication technology, the latex-free elastic fabrics, and many of the product designs were invented by Dr. De-Sheng Tsai and they have been globally patented or are in patent-pending status. The Easy-O-Fit Mask and the Soft-stretch Hood designed by him were selected by INDA (Nonwovens Industry Association) as a finalist for the VISION Innovation Award of 2004 and 2013, respectively. The current technology and version of the elastic fabric is far more advanced than his earlier developments in Taiwan.
By using the latex-free elastic nonwoven fabric, new disposable products can be made without attaching latex-straps, and the automatic conversion VitaFlex developed is far less expensive than the conventional methods used overseas. The Pioneer Plant has long history as a major yarn preparation and weaving plant and today still actively supplies package dyeing services for virtually all yarn counts and fiber contents. It is equipped with conventional and sectional warping, traditional slashing, and slasher dyeing capability. It also has well-equipped technical and color labs and skillful technicians with an average of 29 years of service to offer the customer precise color matching and product quality.
